We are looking for people with a strong desire to complete structural, architectural, and civil projects for manufacturers.  You will work with a diverse team of engineers, designers, and drafters to create solutions for these clients.  Our company of sixty-two plus employees has all the resources you will need to complete a successful project.

Sponseller Group is looking for an experienced structural designer to work in our Holland, Ohio office. 

Your project tasks will include:

  • Coordinating with client on their structural, equipment layout, ductwork supporting, and foundation needs.
  • Review project with the engineer to develop and refine the scope.  
  • Create detail construction drawings consistent with their needs.
  • Meet with the client to review existing conditions and refine the scope.

    Requirements Successful candidate will have:

    • A bachelor’s or associate’s degree in civil or general engineering.
    • Two to five years of experience.
    • In depth knowledge and use of AutoCAD.
    • Reside in or near the Holland, Ohio area.
    • Basic familiarity with local and state building codes.
    • Your responsibilities in this project will involve collaboration with structural engineers and fellow designers. This includes the development of structural drawings using AutoCAD for various elements such as structural steel, equipment layouts, stairs, handrails, and platforms.
    • You will have the opportunity to work closely with a diverse and skilled team comprising both men and women engineers, designers, and detailers. 

    • We offer advancement opportunities, salary commensurate with experience, competitive benefits, and a modern, office environment.  For computers, engineers, designers, and drafts people use Dell precision workstations with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and/or Revit.  The structural engineers use RISA-3D, RISA Foundation, RISA Connection, TEDDS, RAM Structural Systems, MathCAD, Bentley’s STAAD, and STAAD Foundation along with other software packages.
